Titled ‘Hug' each print comes labeled OE (Open Edition), titled and signed in pencil by the artist, Megan Hall.
Megan says;
"I miss hugs. Like many, I have found the past 12 months particularly hard due to the need for social distancing and being unable to physically hug your friends and loved ones. One day I started thinking about what it would be like to hug that sorely missed person and the overwhelming feeling of joy and contentment that hugging them would bring. And it's these feelings that I have done my best to portray in this design".
Every step in the process of making the linocut, from drawing and designing, to carving and printing, is done by hand by Megan, and as such, every linocut in the edition is completely unique and may vary slightly from the illustration above.

The linocut has been inked in a cobalt blue which has been hand burnished onto special Japanese Shoji printing paper.
