This is a lovely soft navy sweatshirt made in sustainable sourced 100% organic cotton, hand embroidered with the words “I'd rather be swimming” in aqua thread. The sweatshirt is a unique collaboration with Claire from Delicious Monster Tea and Swimadelica.
Clare & Sophie set up Swimadelica in November 2020. They would pretty much always rather be swimming! Clare is an open water swim coach, swim teacher and passionate swimmer. Sophie also has swimming in her blood, and her grandfather was an Olympic Diving Coach!
The self taught hand embroidery artist and one-woman-band behind Delicious Monster Tea is another Claire, and, like many of us, she never set out to run a creative business. In 2016, she started to teach herself embroidery one evening and very accidentally started a business. As she says "Embroidery is one of my absolute favourite things to do and I feel incredibly lucky to be able to say that I am now a full-time embroiderer!"
